Lux Brasil (Brazilian Lighting Export Project), a partnership between ABILUX (Brazilian Association of the Lighting Industry) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), has been extensively and continuously promoting Brazilian lighting companies in international markets for 15 years. Lux Brasil has just been renewed.

The new cycle, covering the period 2025-2027, provides for investments of R$5.4 million, including R$2.4 million in resources from ApexBrasil and R$3 million in matching contributions from the supported companies and the Association. The objective for this period is to support 80 companies and export USD 13.5 million in two (2) years.

The project will focus on 10 countries, prioritizing the United States, Peru, and Costa Rica, with the aim of promoting, facilitating, and accelerating the internationalization process of lighting companies. This new phase of the agreement seeks to boost the internationalization of Brazilian companies located in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil. To this end, four roadshows will be held in these regions, based on the largest concentration of industries already mapped, initially in Pernambuco, Bahia, Ceará,

and Amazonas.

The project is designed to serve companies from all Brazilian states, with a wide range of business profiles, but reinforces the importance of encouraging the participation of micro and small businesses, as well as fostering innovation and sustainability practices," says Roberto Saheli, president of ABILUX. The initiatives are designed to train participating companies on topics related to international trade, including training, certification, and trade promotion (international fairs, business roundtables, and trade

missions).

Participating companies will have access to a variety of products and services that will help them drive export growth in the lighting components and commercial, industrial, public, decorative, and emergency lighting segments, among others.

“Lux Brasil plays a fundamental role in strengthening and maintaining the presence of the Brazilian lighting sector in the international market. Our goal is to ensure the sustainable growth of national companies, based on ESG pillars, the achievement of new markets, and the consolidation of Brazil's image as a manufacturer of luminaires with quality and design,” comments project manager Arnaldo Galvão.
